Hello All,
Rant:
I am baffled!! I have replaced the element in this dryer twice in the last few weeks. The second time, which was yesterday, in addition to the DC47-00019A Dryer Heating Element, I also replaced the DC47-00016A Thermal Fuse, DC47-00018A Thermal Cut-off fuse and the DC96-00887A Thermal Fuse. The element I took out of the dryer yesterday was visibly darkened, not quite burnt but only about a week old and only heated one load before burning out. After putting in the new parts, listed above, the dryer only heated for about half a load. I have read many threads on this and other forums but cannot find anything like my issue. I have checked the vent, it is clear. I used a vacuum to clean out all dust/lint from everywhere that I could find, focusing on the exhaust and lint trap. There is no other visible or noticeable damage to any wires or other parts.
Issue:
Samsung Dryer not Heating Up
What I have tried:
Replacing the following parts twice in two weeks. DC47-00019A Dryer Heating Element, DC47-00016A Thermal Fuse, DC47-00018A Thermal Cut-off fuse and the DC96-00887A Thermal Fuse
Questions:
Is there another sensor?
What other reasons would cause the element to burn out so fast?
Is there still hope for this dryer?
Should I replace the whole dryer and see if that works?
My family and I appreciate your time on this!
