I have a new Samsung Dryer. The dryer runs fine except it shuts off when towels are still damp. I understand the moisture sensor could cause the problem but we switch it to TIMED DRY and set the timer for 20 minutes and it still shuts off in a few minutes. Shouldn't the dryer just run and dry for 20 minutes when in timed dry regardless of what the moisture sensor indicates? I can see it shutting off in automatic mode if the towel is almost dry or the moisture sensor is bad but I did not think the moisture sensor was used at all in timed dry. What could cause the dryer to run fine through automatic cycles but shut off early in Timed Dry?
