    dryer works, then won't restart

    Model Number: CDG22B6V
    Brand: Crosley
    Age: More than 10 years

our crosley gas dryer runs fine for the first load. when trying to start a second load and setting the timer and pushing in the knob, there is a loud electrical humming noise like the motor wants to start but doesn't. usually it would be ok after a while but now it won't start at all. a few years ago, i replaced the roller wheels & bearings, a new belt & blower wheel & shop vacced all the crud out from underneath & near the motor. i also replaced the lint screen and housing. any suggestions? possibble timer? thermal fuse?
now that i am home from work i took it apart, quite a bit of lint so i vacuumed it all out. i tested the sensor at the blower housing and have continuity, same for the two at the upper rear left. there is something that looks like it could be a fuse on a metal type hook attached to the motor. that also has continuity. am i missing something? i could not find a thermal fuse that looks like the white plastic ones for sale on parts websites.

A thermal fuse would not cause this type of problem. It sounds like your motor is probably bad. Can you turn the motor shaft freely bad hand? If the motor is hard to turn by hand, then the motor is bad and it will need to be replaced.

This is the motor for your dryer:
