    Icemaker knocking sound

    Model Number: KSRP25FNBL00
    Brand: KitchenAid
    Age: 6-10 years

My icemaker was making a knocking sound while making ice (FYI I could hear water flowing into the tray). After few weeks, it stopped making ice. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Is there any ice in the ice maker mold currently?

There are three components on this system that work together to make ice. The ice maker, water inlet valve, and optic control boards. First, start by testing the optic control boards, click the link below. Let me know what you find.

Any other suggestions? Should I replace the icemaker?

I'm sorry, your last post got flagged as spam so I missed it. If the optics are okay, then I would suspect it is probably the ice maker that has failed since it was making noise. The other possibility is a failed water valve. Testing the ice maker and water valve isn't real easy, depending on your skill level I can give you instructions to do so. Let me know what you find.

This the ice maker and water valve for your model:

    Ice Maker Assembly - 2198597

    Water Inlet Valve - W10408179
