I have the GE Profile refrigerator. We had the ice maker repaired/replaced about a year into owning it (around 2008) because it would make a loud clanking noise. At that time, I believe they replaced a circuit board as well as the ice maker. The ice maker is no longer working again. I would like to replace it, but have read that I may need a new control board as well. Is there a way to determine whether I need to replace the control board along with the ice maker or if I only need the ice maker?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
