I have a GE Front Load Washer that no longer pumps out the dirty water. This same thing happened about 6 months after I original got the washer (2 years ago) and they replaced the drain pump. So, I assumed this was typical, and went ahead and replaced it again - but this time it did not fix the issue. Below I have outlined what I have done and what diagnostics I have run. The Front Loader is no longer under the 1 year warranty and the 10 year, I found out from the store is only on the motor and drum, So, all the electronics are on my dime.
What I have done:
1) Checked and clean filter - not really that dirty, but did not resolve the issue
2) Blew from drain hose, and heard it bubbling in washing machine
2) Replaced the Drain Pump - still same issue - no pump
3) Tested the old pump with 120v, it spun fine outside on test bench
4) Replaced the Inverter board - still same issue, exact same tests fail in the same way
Error Codes:
Getting error codes: 25, 38,34, 39,18, 27
Ran the following Tests:
#12 - lights go out nothing happens to washing machine
#10 - Proper Lights turn on, but never turn off . . . washer fills, but these never drop - suspect related to pump :-)
#24 - will run shortly
It may appear I have a clue by all the impressive stuff up there, but, really just fumbling through and was trying to save money - $145 for a visit plus labour here, and well, I figured I could replace a few parts and probably come out ahead
I have run out of parts to replace that I know of and ready to just buy a new one as this is starting to get expensive and with a couple hundred mor dollars thrown at it, I could just buy a new one!
Thanks for any ideas!
