Thread: lint seal missing.....passing lots of lint

    lint seal missing.....passing lots of lint

    Model Number: SDG515DAWW
    Brand: Maytag
    Age: 6-10 years

    does anyone know if the new part is designed differently form the old one...new one plainly states there is no felt seal....i acquired the dryer in gently used condition....but the plastic duct was almost plugged...any advice would be kindly appreciated

    The new lint filter has been redesigned and the felt strip is no longer needed. I would clean out the blower duct and just keep on eye on it going forward to make sure it isn't getting clogged up.
