Timer stops, hit panel near timer, machine starts and runs stops, hit panel, runs etc. Replace timer or machine. If replace machine what is current comp. model? Thanks for your time.

Have you inspected the lid switch on the washer? This is the most common part to fail and cause the washer to act this way. Let me know what you find.
