    Model Number: 24642300
    Brand: Sears Kenmore
    Age: 6-10 years

    [Visitor] i have a kenmore washer model 110-24642300 it fills and drains but will not agitate or spin .. i have replaced the lid switch and the motor coupling looks really good plastis pieces r still sturdy and rubber piece is still stiff.... when i turn what i think is the clutch it is hard to turn in one direction and other direction is just a free spin anf nothing moves...

    Does it make any noise when it gets to the agitate or spin cycles?

    no weird noises it just sounds like the motor is running as usual

    It sounds like you might have a bad transmission. When the motor turns the transmission in one direction, it spins and drains the water out. When it spins in the other direction it should agitate. The most common thing that causes this problem is a failed motor coupler, but if that is in tact, then you could have failed transmission. Let me know what you find.
