Thread: Amana Electric Range replaced bake element won't heat

Question Amana Electric Range replaced bake element won't heat

    Model Number: AER5735QAB
    Brand: Amana
    Age: 1-5 years

The bake element burned out on our Amana Range. I replaced it with part# W10276482, which was an exact fit. No heat. Is there a fuse or something that could have blown?

Your model of Amana range does not use any type of fuse. The clock center control board is a common failure when the bake element burns out (i.e. shorts to ground and ruins the circuit board).

This is the control board for your range:

    Control Board (Black) - Part # PD00003215 (mfg # 74009220)
