When we set our oven to bake, instead of heating up, it comes up with a F-10 code.
What does this mean?
This F-10 Code means the control board is sensing a runaway temperature condition.
**First, unplug the range and remove the back panel. Unplug the oven temperature probe at disconnect.
Check the resistance. It should be approx 1100 ohms at room temp. See this blog post on how to test the temp sensor.
**If the oven probe checks out OK, you will need to replace the clock timer/control board
Part # 316557118
And you will need also to replace the overlay. (the old ones don't always like to come off in one piece)
Part # 316419110
If the temperature probe does not ohm out correctly it will need to be replaced. Even if it checks out ok it might not be a bad idea to be proactive and replace the oven probe as well.
