LG Washer Dryer Combo, noises, hole in gasket, bearings?

My washer dryer combo is making some really loud noises. I bought this used from a hospital about 6 months ago, it worked great for while and now it's making a lot of noise.

I started to take it apart to see if the bearings were bad and noticed this hole in the front gasket. Could that be the issue? I will have more time to investigate this weekend. Thanks for any advice!
