    Samsung dryer heating element replacment

    Model Number: DV209AEW/XAA
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 1-5 years

i purchased a new heating element for my samsung dryer when I saw this forum (it stopped drying, of course, my wife had called samsung and supposedly isolated it to the heating element) - anyway, the directions online suggest that I remove a screw and the heating element assembly will pull out. Well, it doesn't fit ! any advice ? it seems like I might have to pull the drum ? thanks

I should clarify - i was able to take multiple screws out to remove the front panel. with the front panel gone there is a singular screw that holds the heating element assembly in place - removing that screw does not seem to allow the assembly to come out (on this model ?)

Make sure the dryer is unplugged before working on it. With the screw out on the front of the heating element assembly removed and the wires disconnected from the side you should be able to pull it forward to remove the assembly. Sometimes while pulling it towards you wiggling it left and right helps it come loose. If you still can't get it, you may have to remove the belt and drum to gain better access to it.
