Frigidaire Double Wall Oven won't heat

    Model Number: PLEB30T8CCB
    Brand: Frigidaire
    Age: 6-10 years

My Double Convection ovens have worked great until the other day the bottom element in the top oven would not heat. I changed the element, and no change. I should have checked the current first as in other posts. Maybe it is a circuit board or something else? The oven is large and heavy so not so easy to pull out to repair. Any ideas? Thanks much in advance!

Attachment 457Attachment 457Does the broiler work?
If not then it could be the thermal circuit breaker.

Does the oven show that it is ready or does it stay in pre-heat?
If it says it is ready then it may be the oven sensor or the control board.

If it is just the bake element that does not work and the unit stays in pre-heat then it is probably the control board or the relay board for that oven.
As always also check that the wiring is OK.

See the attachment for the wiring diagram.

It stops at 385 on both bake and convection bake, and yes the broiler works. It's only the upper oven that the bake element doesn't work.
The lower oven both elements work. How do you tell if it's the control board or relay board? I guess I would have to pull out the oven, and take the back off to see if there is a short? Thank you for your help!

From looking at the schematic it looks like it would be the upper oven relay board that sends power to the upper oven bake element. If everything else is working correctly, the wiring is good and there are no shorts, and the control board is not sending power to the bake element then the relay board is most likely bad.

This is the upper relay board for your model oven:
