Greetings group members
I have a Roper top load washer that started wobbling/shaking on spin. This started some time back. I replaced the 4 suspension rods and things were good for about 8 months. I opted for the cheapest set I could find - definately not OEM parts. It took the original set years to wear out. So I have taken the basket out, looking for any other problems. Have very little experience repairing washing machines, I really don't know what to look for (I thought maybe I'd find a sock or something). The basket has a mostly-enclosed ... I don't know what to call it...it's like a bowl with a top on it I suppose. It's at the bottom of the basket and it surrounds the hole where the spindle goes. This "bowl" is full of water. Is it supposed to be like that? Also, are unbranded, cheapy suspension rods something I should avoid?
Thanks
