3 prong plug for Whirlpool Deep Freeze light cable

    Model Number: ehl151fxrq00
    Brand: Whirlpool
    Age: 6-10 years

    Hello PartsDr Forum!

I have a Whirlpool Deep Freezer (ehl151fxrq00) which has an interior light that stopped working. I determine that the failure was not the bulb but rather the exterior cable that plugs into the back for the freezer top. I unplugged it and see that the has ripped apart from being opened and closed for 9 years.

The replacement part I found is the complete wire harness which $125 from Whirlpool and around $95 from other sites.

I really only need the plug part which I attached an attachment photo below. Anybody know if there is a way to simply buy this plug and I can splice it into the wire? I can't find a type name for this type of plug or any other type of appliance that uses it.

    I also uploaded a video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBR92QPX9yE

    Thank you very much!
