    Unhappy Maytag moves too slow

    Model Number: LAT8624AAM
    Brand: Other
    Age: 6-10 years

i know better too borrow something! My washer went out and i have a friend that has his set just sitting in his garage(because his girlfriend bought a new set)And when he heard mine quit loaded his up and brought too me.Dang good friend huh.And how do we repay our friend his washer which worked great has decided to die while i have it. At first i went down to put clothes in the dryer and when i opened the lid washer still full of water,i looked to see what the knob was on and it showed it had finished the cycle.so i figured the pump , switch, drain hose but nothing seems wrong there So i turned it back to wash cycle it filled with water and started to agitate.Great right, wrong it moves ever so slowly, same thing when it spins its like it lost its rpm speed

I would first start by unplugging the washer and removing the water from the washer by using a wet shopvac. After that I would tip the washer back and inspect the belts and pulleys on the bottom. Next I would remove the belt to the drain pump, and then rotate the pump by hand. Make sure it rotates freely. If that looks okay, then I would remove the belt to the transmission. Turning the transmission pulley one way to spin the tub, and turning it the other way should agitate.

I would still inspect everything to make sure everything is rotating freely.
