Hi everyone. I have a Samsung refrigerator that is not getting the freezer cold. It will keep the temp at about 30-32F, but the control panel on the front of the fridge shows the freezer temp is -8F. The freezer ice maker does not work. But the ice maker in the refrigerator works great. The refrigerator compartment maintains a constant 36-38F. The unit also runs nearly constantly, using almost 4KwH per day. This seems excessive.
I've replaced:
Main control board
Inverter board (one of the capacitors was leaking voltage out the cap, which seems normal for these boards?)
The temp sensor in the freezer ceiling
One of the fans in the freezer back panel (the one that blows up into the ice maker in the fridge). The defrost fan worked fine on the bench.
My questions:
How does the unit determine the ambient temp in the freezer?
If the MCB thinks the temp is already at the set point, why is the compressor running constantly?
thanks
