Replaced bake element. Still not working

    Model Number: LGEF3045KFM
    Brand: Frigidaire
    Age: 1-5 years

The bake element on my frigidaire gallery oven stopped heating. I replaced it but still no luck. I dont think it's a voltage issue because the broil element still works great, even with multiple burners going on cook top. What would be the next thing to replace in order of least expensive and/or most likely culprit? Thanks!

When the bake element burned out, it could have shorted and caused the main control board to fail. As you said, since all of the other elements are working we know that it is getting proper voltage to the range. If the wiring between the bake element and control board is good, then that should narrow it down to the control board being bad. Let us know what you find.

This is the main control board and overlay for your model:

Thanks Ryan! Is it necessary to replace the overlay when replacing the control board? Also, how difficult is the repair? I'm no appliance expert and i HATE soldering lol

Sometimes the original overlay doesn't like to peal off in one piece. You can try heating it up with a blow dryer as you peal it off to give you a better chance of success. You won't really know until you try.

Replacing the control board is usually pretty easy. The control boards are plug and play, no soldering or programming required. On most, you unplug the range and remove the back covers to give you access to the control board.
