My front loader washer stopped working. It turns on and the cycle starts just fine. But the first thing it usually does before adding water is spin the me clothes a few times. Now it sounds like it’s trying to spin, the dryer wiggle and there is a grinding clicking sound like it can’t spin. After about 5 min the cycle just stops (pauses actually) and no error code.
I did check the drain filter. It was pretty clogged with a few large pieces of hard debris. I removed it and cleaned what little water was in there. Still did not work, but there is no water in there.
I reset the washer by unplugging it for 10 min and starting it back up and still no luck.
Went to check the belt and realized there is no belt and it has a rotor. So I removed the rotor to check for damage and do not see anything out of the ordinary but not sure if it’s an issue with the rotor. I don’t want to just buy a new one and hope it fixes it.
Not sure how to determine the issue now.
