    Wrong part for Whirlpool

    Model Number: GU2200XTSS3
    Brand: Whirlpool
    Age: More than 10 years

I am trying to change out an impeller kit 8193951A for my Whirlpool dishwasher because the fins for the food chopper were worn off. I ordered the kit from 3 different places and they all came with the wrong seal. These are packaged from Whirlpool and all the places I ordered from all agree the part is wrong, not even close. The parts schematics and the pictures of the kit all show the part I removed, but the kits have a considerably smaller seal and different inner diameter. I tried to contact Whirlpool but they hang up or transfer me to a different department only to get cut off in the process. Was wondering if anyone else is dealing with this problem and if there is a solution. I hate to junk the dishwasher because of a cheap seal, it is a good washer. I will try to use the old seal, but afraid of it leaking. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

Whirlpool has some bad stock the impeller kit that contain the incorrect seal. Until they correct the bad stock of that part, you could order the pump & motor assembly.

This is the pump and motor assembly for your model dishwasher:

I really don't want to spend another $300+ for something I don't need when all I really need is $2 seal.
