Frigidaire upright freezer control panel

The above appliance has had a new control panel installed. When you open the door the reading on panel could be 0 and then when you close door it could be 16. Why is it fluctuating like this. Have checked defrost thermostat and the heater. Both are working. Seems to run alot.

Which part number was replaced? What was the original problem with the freezer?

Control board Part #PD00042481. Original problem was the same inside reading 0. Control panel 0 but when door opened control panel went to 16.
