Maytag washer starts and powers on normally. When cycle is started it begins to spin very slowly while the display says “sensing”. A few minutes later the display says cycle complete. During this time no water enters the machine.
Things that I’ve tried based on reading through the forum:
1. Drum spins freely by hand
2. Water inlet valves are free from debris and water pressure is good.
3. Removed the rotor, clutch, and stator. All appear normal.
4. The tub bearing is appears to be in good shape.
5. I got into the service/ diagnostic menu and there aren’t any error codes and all self-diagnostics appear normal.
I’m out of ideas. Thinking maybe it’s the control board or possibly the water inlet valve since no water enters the machine while it’s sensing. (Water will enter when completing self checks in the service menu.)
Any help or ideas is much much appreciated.
