Low 60v voltage to oven igniter and wont light, broil is OK

    Model Number: HGI8054UC
    Brand: Bosch
    Age: 1-5 years

    Hi
Looking for some help with an igniter problem. Manual has the part number for the range as HGI8054UC, HGIP054UC.

We have had a few power outages and it seems that the igniter stopped working in the oven. I replaced the igniter with no resolution, but confirmed the igniter works using power from the broil. Checking the voltage I am only getting 60volts to the oven igniter, whereas I am getting 120v to the broil, which is working ok. Everything else on the oven and cooker top seems fine. I have run thru the test cylces and can here the relays clicking on and off and the voltage 0 and 60v turn on and off accordingly.

There are no active error codes but 3 historical error codes for power failure

    Thanks

Usually this type of problem is caused by a failure of the control board that sends power to the igniter. Usually one of the relays on the board will fail and this will cause the power to not properly go to the ignitor. You will need to locate the model and serial number tag on the range to look up the correct part.
