[FIXED] Had breaker panel replaced, power at socket, GE dryer will not power up???

    Model Number: gtd65ebmk1ws
    Brand: GE
    Age: 1-5 years

Good morning, I recently had my breaker panel replaced by a certified electrician and now find that my dryer "coincidently" is not powering on. I have checked the breakers, they are good, there is power at the outlet but when I hit the power button on the dryer I get nothing. It's literally dead. How can I diagnose this problem.

    thanks

Can you please double check your model number? It is not coming up for me as a valid model number.

When you checked the voltage at the outlet, what readings did you get?

Sorry, I'm new to this forum and having trouble uploading an image of the model number and serial number, but the model number I entered is correct. When I check ed the socket there was 240 volts.

I think the model number might not be coming up for me because it is a Non-USA model number.

Have you checked with your electrician to see what they think?

Correct, I'm in canada and if I'm not mistaken I bought if from costco and their model numbers for most appliances are different from flagship models.

He was here this morning and said there is no way they could have done any damage and that it is just a crazy coincidence.......

I'm sorry, since I do not have details on this model number it is difficult for me to give you troubleshooting steps. When you find the solution, please let me know what you find.

Good morning, I found the problem. Turns out it was a loose ground wire at the new panel. Receptacle tested as it should with out load applied but when the dryer was plugged in 1 line was hot with 240volts jumped to neutral, the other leg had 0 volts.
