[FIXED] Jenn-Air Jes 9800 aab Control Panel

    Model Number: JES9800aab
    Brand: Jenn-Air
    Age: More than 10 years

I'm trying to remove the control panel from my stove. I have the 2 screws, left and right side removed. I have the 4 screws (phillips) and 4 bolts (1/4 socket) removed. I also have the 8 screws behind the control knobs removed. Is there any tricks to removing this?

Here are the instructions from the manufacture:

    1. Remove power from unit.
    2. Open oven door and remove screws securing control panel.
    3. Remove screws located on the right and left sides of the control panel.
    4. Grasp control panel on the far left and right sides and gently pull the control panel out and down. NOTE: Gently pull control panel out and down.
    5. Remove infinite switch control knobs, infinite switches, indicator lights, rocker switches, and electronic control/clock (as necessary) and transfer to the new control panel.
    6. Reverse procedure to reinstall control panel.

This is the control panel for your range:

Is there more than 1 screw on each side?

I found the other two screws, after disassembling the down draft duct work and pulling the stove out from between the cabinets.

Found one of the "J" connectors pulled out about 1/16" . Reassembled, now to let mom put it thru it's paces.

So far so good. If the F1-1, F3-1, etc... codes come back I'll need to replace the control board.
